August Author Jay Parini Mr. Parini, a poet and novelist, teaches at Middlebury College in Vermont. He will be speaking on the topic The Books That Changed America based on his book Promised Land. He is also author of The Last Station, made into a recent Academy-Award nominated film, as well as biographies of Robert Frost , John Steinbeck, and William Faulkner. | Cookbook Sale The Cookbook will feature recipes from tutors, students, volunteers, staff and friends of Literacy Volunteers. Recipes accepted through July.
