Mr. Parini, a poet and novelist, teaches at Middlebury College in Vermont. He will be speaking on the topic The Books That Changed America based on his book Promised Land. He is also author of The Last Station, made into a recent Academy-Award nominated film, as well as biographies of Robert Frost , John Steinbeck, and William Faulkner.
Tickets cost $15 per person or $25/two

Cookbook Sale
The Cookbook will feature recipes
from tutors, students, volunteers, staff and friends of
Literacy Volunteers. Recipes accepted through July. Books will
be available in time for Christmas. For more information or to
be notified when the cookbooks will be for sale, please call
